Lu Changyu, a neurologist and also deputy chief physician at Department of Neurosurgery, Peking University International Hospital, updated his xhs and strongly recommend to watch #SmallTownRemedy.
He will also be analyzing the storyline from a physician’s perspective.

Re: Тред Сяо Чжаня

Su Xiao, Chairman of Linmon Pictures and Chief Producer of Small Town Remedy, and Yang Bei, Senior Vice President of iQIYI, shared why they chose Xiao Zhan for the role during a private media screening.

▼Скрытый текст⬍

Yang Bei: In the early part of the story, Liu Zhengliang has a personality and character that really set him apart from everyone else.
And that difference is quite noticeable.
Actually, the sense of loneliness and brokenness that Xiao Zhan has is very similar to what we see in this character.
So even back then, we felt that when Mr. Su and his team decided to talk to Zhan Zhan, this was something we all agreed on, something we strongly agreed on.
That Zhan Zhan himself also has this sense of loneliness and brokenness.
And he's able to show us those qualities in this character.
I think that was probably the most important thing.
And then, after he returns to the small town, in the early part of the story, whether it's with Liu Zhengliang's younger brother, or with his good friends, or with Ai Chen, through all these interactions and conversations, it's actually in the lives of these characters, in their very down-to-earth, everyday lives full of warmth, that he finds a way to heal himself.
I think that's really wonderful.

Su Xiao: When it comes to the character's professional side, he also felt that he wanted to take on quite a big challenge.
He didn't want to simply play a genius doctor, even one who naturally has certain flaws and shortcomings.
Gradually, through his interactions with the people around him, he begins to change.
He really wanted to portray that whole process.
And I think everyone watching the drama will be able to feel that by the end.
And as for Xiao Zhan himself, I think he also really wanted to show everyone that whole process.
And in fact, I think he absolutely succeeded.
