Let's chat in English, dear anonymous! You can write about everything here, regardless of your level.

Not gonna join the flexing anon with non-native vibes from this thread, but honestly if y'all want to practice grammar, perhaps a "more native" place would help. Reddit, blogs on medium, whatever. Like, we're going to make mistakes and if you don't know they are mistakes, how can you learn from them.
> implying average redditor knows grammar
Makes different mistakes anyway.
For me it's more about "feel free to speak" now. Chillin' on natives hoods when you barely could finish a sentence without grammar check looks like a suicide mission.
First I want to be sure that others could understand what I'm saying at all. And maybe have some fun, feeling that I'm studying is just killing the process(
You're welcome here! I'm just not so sure we'd help

I see virtually no difference between you and actual natives on another tab, if that's any help. We're not applying for rocket science position here, worst thing they'd call you ESL.

IMO if you are not getting into heated arguments with trolls, noone literally cares about your grammar skills
I'm just not so sure we'd help
It can be a good start, like fanfiction for reading and vocab was
Catch the flow, get used to chat, that kind of thing
Why the name of the thread doesn't have the article? It should be THE English thread
Do y'all get fannish for Russian-language media too, or is it mostly imported stuff like Harry Potter or anime?
I know that some people on HS are into Major Grom by Bubble Comics. It's Russian franchise.
Yeah. After spending some time on Tumblr and Reddit I realized that some natives barely know any grammar too or don't really care about it.

The way I see it, this thread is more for learning to 'talk'/use the language, which is a separate skill and one that's often more difficult to learn than grammar.

Eh, I don't think it's true, really. Native English speakers are not Lyudmila Petrovna, your classroom English teacher, there ain't gonna be any consequences if you make a few mistakes.

Or maybe it's just the world's biggest conspiracy, and all the internet media are flooded by non-native speakers who use contractions, omit commas, write 'tho' just to be more natural.

Wait, is it? I thought fanny was just another word for 'ass' (as in, butt', as in 'bottom, as in 'tushy', God almighty why does English have so many words for it?)
I would like to add a very important word!
why does English have so many words for it
99 words for ass
99 words for ass
See, this is why English kink memes are actually fun and kinky. They've got the proper vocabulary.
